Description
How the Contact Microphone Works and What it Does
The Contact Microphone is a high impedance inductive piezo element designed to capture vibration. The microphone will not capture audio; it will only pick up vibration or “Mechanical Energy” as opposed to standard microphones which pick up air vibrations.
Use the Contact Microphone with a small amplifier for real time EVP experiments or with your own recording device to replay the results. This particular type of mic is designed to pick up raps bangs and movement as vibration rather than voices.
How to Use the Contact Microphone
Simply place the Contact Mic on a hard surface and attach it to your recording device or amplifier using the 1/8” mono phone jack form the contact microphone.
Use in place of a standard microphone OR to accompany a standard mic for EVP sessions. As this microphone does not pick up vibrations in the air ,only structural vibrations, it can be used to accompany a standard microphone and provide an additional perspective.
